This is the "Bathroom Wall Before."
There is a door in Margaret's room that leads to the guest bathroom.
~~~
This is the Bed Wall Before. The door to the left is the closet. A perk to older homes is the crazy closets. This house has built-in shelves and drawers in almost all the closets.
Bed Wall After I. The closed closet door is what you're looking at in this shot.
I painted the phrase, "I can hardly wait till nighttime falls...when I can go to sleep with my favorite dolls!" along two of the walls.
This picture really does not do the bed justice. My mom made a GORGEOUS quilt for her bed...but with the pillows and anti-fall guard, you cannot really see it in these pictures. Come over sometime and I'll show you the quilt. You won't believe it.
Margaret loves her big girl bed.
The door that leads to the hallway is in the middle-ish of the picture...the bathroom door is on the far right. The big shelf-looking thing is part of what we had "built-in" on the window wall.
Now it's off to Ross's room. Ha, ha. I'm actually going to prioritize and get his "stuff" all ready first before I get all artsy in his room. Margaret's nursery was tropical-themed from a child's storybook...and if something happens that Ross needs to come early...then her nursery will be perfectly fine for him. It's going to take all my restraint to not start painting in there, though. I love to have some sort of creative outlet at the end of the day. It makes me so happy to have a project to work on...and I'm about 80% sure that it drives my husband a little bonkers. Oh well. He comes around in the end...
The phrase wraps up along this wall.
The Window Wall After.
The Window Wall After.
My favorite wall. I cannot believe I didn't take a "Before"of this wall...but it used to be just the window. Jeremy and I had all those shelves and drawers built at a nude furniture shop and then a guy from our church worked with my dad and Jeremy to install them as "built-ins." That's what took so darn long. Jeremy and I had to prime and paint all the furniture...and then it took a few trips for our friend from church to get all the furniture installed.
Then, after it was installed, Jeremy had to put the finishing touches on everything--caulking around the edges, sanding down areas to make them flush, and then adding one more coat of paint to the whole set up.
Now it's off to Ross's room. Ha, ha. I'm actually going to prioritize and get his "stuff" all ready first before I get all artsy in his room. Ross's room is intended/going to be Where The Wild Things Are. Who doesn't love Monsters? Anyone want to come help? I've got eight weeks left.
To my BES friends...don't get all jealous that Laura's seen it in person...she came over to map out Strengths faculty meetings. Pretty awesome, right?! :c) It's hard to find time at school to work on a project!
